2010 Careers in Sports Medicine Evening Registration Form

Sports Medicine offers fantastic career opportunities. It gives you the chance to work with motivated athletes from all walks of life. You also have the chance to work with sports teams such as your favourite football club, and often get a chance to travel with teams to events such as the Olympic and Commonwealth games.

The Careers in Sports Medicine Evening aims to build an awareness of the health professions involved in caring for athletes, whether they compete for Australia or exercise for fitness.

A Careers evening will be held by Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre.

Venue:
Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre
in the new AAMI Park (Melbourne Rectangular Stadium)
Olympic Boulevard (formerly Swan St)
Opposite Car Park D
Melbourne.

Registration: 6.30pm-7.00pm
Talks Commence: 7.30pm - 9.00pm

Cost: $25 per student.

Parking: Car park entrance D, off Olympic Boulevard, parking fees apply.

Get a taste of what goes on in a Sports Medicine practice including demonstrations, plenty of question time, handouts and DOOR PRIZES.

Secondary School students are encouraged to attend along with one family member.

PROGRAMME

Practitioners from each discipline i.e. Sports Physicians, Physiotherapists, Soft tissue therapists, Dietitians, Podiatrists and Psychologists will be giving short talks and the rest of the team will be available for plenty of question time. There will also be information handouts available.

Work Experience

Each year we receive hundreds of calls from parents and students requesting work experience placements.

Although we are unable to provide placements, we do offer a Careers in Sports Medicine Evening held annually in May.
