Elise Fraser has worked in both public hospital and private practice settings since graduating from La Trobe University in 2004. She commenced training in DMA Clinical Pilates in 2005 and has specialized in this field over the last three years.

To complement her Clinical Pilates work and gain specialized assessment skills Elise completed Post Graduate studies in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation in 2008 at The University of Melbourne.

Elise is also skilled in the use of Real Time Ultrasound for assessment of abdominal and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Her clinical interests lie in two main areas; Clinical Pilates and Women’s Health Physiotherapy. Elise has worked extensively utilizing Clinical Pilates for rehabilitation of both acute and chronic spinal conditions, headache and postural pain, dance medicine, joint hypermobility syndrome and sports specific rehabilitation.

Elise also works at the Mercy Hospital for Women and is experienced in the management of incontinence, prolapse, preparation for and recovery after pelvic surgery, pelvic joint and pelvic region pain associated with pregnancy and abdominal and pelvic floor muscle weakness. Elise has a passion for education having worked as an Anatomy facilitator at Monash University, she combines this with a hands-on and exercise based approach to treatment.

Elise enjoys working with a full spectrum of patients, from elite athletes, women pre and post pregnancy, and all who have an interest in their physical health and general wellbeing.

  • DMA Clinical Pilates Levels 1 - 4
