Leigh Baker Massage Therapist Certificate in Massage VSM OPSMC since 1989 Leigh Baker gained his "Certificate of Massage" from the Victorian School of Massage, now known as the Australian School of Therapeutic Massage, in 1987. Leigh began the course out of curiosity however, with-in two or three classes he felt a passion for the profession that remains to this day. Leigh has always practiced massage in sports medicine clinics and in conjunction with other medical practitioners, e.g., sports physicians/doctors, physiotherapists, podiatrists, nutritionists, psychologists and fitness & conditioning coaches and considers what ability he may have a result of this outstanding opportunity. Leigh believes that massage is a pro-active modality as much as, if not more than, a remedial modality (prevention better than cure) and that soft tissue integrity between neck and hamstrings is basic to full body function; that by targeting and lengthening fascia, all ROM (range of movement) can improve, enhancing health and wellbeing.
