Katrina MacDonald commenced with OPSMC in early 2003 having moved from Sydney. She has worked in both hospital and private practice settings and is a fully-qualified Clinical Pilates Instructor (Polestar Pilates).

Katrina’s speciality areas include low back pain rehabilitation; posture-related neck and upper back pain; recurrent groin and hamstring injuries; knee pain and rehabilitation; shoulder pain and throwing injuries; post-operative rehabilitation – knee, hip, spinal surgery, injury prevention and musculoskeletal screenings.

 

 

Katrina’s Honours thesis investigated the use of pre-season screening tests on elite athletes. Katrina has been primarily involved with the sports of football, running, rowing, netball, triathlon, softball and golf.

Personal sporting experience:
  • Currently keeping fit by training for triathlons and playing State League Netball.
    Katrina also enjoys skiing, snowboarding, tennis and Pilates
