Dr Rebecca Young graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2002 and has a background in Emergency Medicine and Trauma Surgery. She completed her basic surgical training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and spent time in advanced training in Orthopaedic surgery.

In 2008 she began to pursue her interests in Sports and Exercise Medicine, providing medical coverage for the Australian U/20 and U/17 Women’s Soccer teams, The Homeless World Cup and The University Games.

In 2009 Rebecca will be the team doctor for the Melbourne University Blues Football Club as well as continuing her involvement with The Young Matildas. Personal sporting interests include running and downhill skiing.
