Dr Greg Clugston received his medical degree from the Australian National University in 2007. He then gained experience working in several hospitals in Melbourne as well as rural Victoria and New Zealand. Greg then completed specialist training as a General Practitioner (FRACGP) and spent several years working as a GP in Melbourne providing high-quality medical care to all ages and across a wide range of conditions.
Greg has always had a strong interest in sport and sports medicine and was appointed Collingwood VFL doctor at the end of 2013. He has also worked as an A-League match day doctor and covered Rugby League and endurance running events. In 2016, he completed a Diploma in Sports Medicine through the International Olympic Committee. Greg has a particular interest in paediatric sport medicine but enjoys seeing patients of all ages, sports, and abilities and utilising exercise as a means to prevent and treat chronic disease.
Greg strives to maintain his own fitness through running, including marathons, and the occasional triathlon. He is also a keen skier and tries to get to the snow at least once a year. He enjoys watching almost any sport but is a particularly passionate supporter of the AFL and NFL. Any spare time he has is invariably taken up playing with his son.
