Bio
When it was made abundantly clear that my future as a professional motorcycle racer was highly unlikely and a waste of my parents’ money I decided to smarten up and go to Uni.
After graduating with a Sport and Exercise Science degree, I was fortunate enough to land a position as a strength and conditioning coach at St Kilda FC in 2007. From there opportunity took me to Queensland to begin a career in motorsport. Since 2008 I have been lucky enough to consult to a number of athletes, teams and NSO’s both domestically and internationally including:
- Yamaha Australia
- KTM Australia
- St Kilda FC
- Sandringham Dragons
- Red Bull Australia
- Motorcycling Australia (MA)
- Dakar
- Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS)
- Drapac Professional Cycling
- Charter Mason Giant (now State of Matter MAAP)
- World Rally Championship (WRC)
- V8 Supercars
- MotoGP
- World Superbike Championship
- World Motocross Championship
- World Enduro Championship
In 2012 I relocated back to Melbourne, completed a masters and began consulting clinically as an Exercise Physiologist specialising in filling the gap between rehabilitation and the return to sport. My specialty has become end stage rehabilitation and exercise prescription, as I enjoy the problem solving nature of the role. In my opinion it is imperative that the rehab period is designed, not just to repair and strengthen the injured site, but to address any contributing factors to improve athletic resilience. It is an added bonus that correcting these contributors to injury (running gait mechanics, movement mechanics, musculoskeletal balance, posture) often proves to be performance enhancing.
