Karen Spreadborough has 17 years of physiotherapy experience, including involvement with Australian Women’s Lacrosse for a decade, travelling internationally for four World Championships. Meanwhile, she was gaining experience in Melbourne private practices, the last 9 years at Windy Hill Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy Clinic in Essendon.
Karen is interested in treating all elite and recreational injuries with particular experience in spinal conditions, tendon problems, knees, shoulders, ankles and hands. She completes a thorough review of contributing factors to each problem, including biomechanics, and gives a focus on exercise prescription and self-management. Additional skills include use of dry needling and splinting of sporting hand injuries.
Understanding the impact of your workplace on your injury is also prioritised with 10 years part time at GM Holden and consulting in ergonomics and pre-employment screening.
Karen joins the team of OPSMC practitioners at Geelong.
