James Pope joined the Olympic Park Sports Medicine team in 2008. He has a background in biomechanical research and completed his honours year looking at the different effects that foot orthoses have on Achilles tendonopathy
He is interested in working closely with other health practitioners to rehabilitate, strengthen and help people to be exercising pain free as soon as possible.
James has developed an interest in barefoot running and currently incorporates this into his own clinical work, as well as his own training. He is also very interested in using orthotics for bike shoes and ski boots to improve performance.
He loves running and one day wants to complete a full marathon. He has a broad knowledge of all sports and a particular interest in cricket, cycling, skiing, rugby union, soccer, hockey and all forms of running at any level.
