TITLE: Tennis Elbow Study


Comparing the effectiveness of Cortisone, Sclerosant or Autologous blood injections for chronic extensor tendinopathy of the elbow.

DESCRIPTION:
Comparing the effectiveness of Cortisone, Sclerosant or Autologous blood injections for chronic extensor tendinopathy of the elbow

Patients will be assessed by a sports doctor, a physiotherapist and receive an ultrasound assessment of the elbow. If the ultrasound shows new blood vessels in the painful extensor tendons, the patient will be randomised to one of the three treatment arms.

Patients will be followed up at 4, 12, 26, and 52 weeks.
There will not be any financial cost to the patients.

ETHICS:
Ethics approval has been obtained from the Medical Research Ethics Committee of the University of Queensland.
