PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS 

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Practicing clinical sports physician, team physician, researcher and world authority on muscle injuries and healing. Presents the annual FC Better on “The latest in Hamstring injury management”.

Imaging latest on muscle injuries and prognosis, and proximal hamstring tendinopathy are other areas that will be addressed.

KNEE INJURIES IN SPORT

Presenters will address clinical management of difficult cases of patellofemoral pain as well as the challenges of ACL injury in elite athletes. Nonsurgical and surgical options in patellofemoral treatment will be evaluated. Current and future graft options for ACL injuries will be compared and the issues of rapid rehabilitation and return to sport decisions covered.

CHRONIC GROIN PAIN IN SPORT

This difficult area will be explored in full addressing diagnostic techniques, imaging, rehabilitation and surgery. Chris Bradshaw will share his experience from the UK bringing a different perspective from the land of hernias!

FUTURE DIRECTIONS IN SPORTS MEDICINE - PANEL OF EXPERTS

How will we be treating athletes in 20 years – an expert panel will cover areas such as medical imaging, robotics in surgery, genetics, as well as new techniques in the practice of physiotherapy, podiatry and sports medicine. Cell therapy for muscle regeneration and repair: The cure or the problem?
