The physiotherapists at OPSMC aim to provide excellence in physical therapy of sporting and non-sporting muscle and joint injuries.
A physiotherapy program may include:
- soft tissue techniques
- exercise prescription for the prevention and rehabilitation of injury
- taping to protect joints and injured tissues
- assessment and treatment of postural and spinal alignment
- biomechanical assessment of movements through video analysis
- techniques to assist in recovery from training and competition
- retraining to prevent recurring injuries.

Specialist Physiotherapy
OPSMC has Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists who have fulfilled the requirements of The Australian College of Physiotherapy. They are skilled at assessing difficult and complex problems, particularly those problems that have not responded to previous treatment.
Our Specialist Physiotherapist Randall Cooper will take the time needed (one hour consultation) and work with other OPSMC practitioners to get the optimal results from your physiotherapy treatment.
Clinical Pilates is also offered at OPSMC. This involves physiotherapist guided exercise programs using floor exercises and spring loaded equipment to develop and train deep abdominal and spinal muscles.
A new physiotherapy service - Real Time Ultrasound Retraining (RTUS) is also offered at OPSMC. RTUS can be used to assist the recovery and aid prevention of back, pelvic, groin and hip problems.
Physiotherapy appointments can be made with our physios at both the East Melbourne and Olympic Park Campuses, with dedicated physiotherapy space and equipment available.
