Dr David Bertovic

David Bertovic is a Cardiologist with both a personal and professional interest in the cardiovascular aspects of sport and exercise, and the role of exercise in individuals with established cardiovascular disease.

He obtained his undergraduate medical degree from Monash University in 1999. As part of his undergraduate training, he completed the honours degree of Bachelor of Medical Science in 1996, researching the effects of prolonged athletic training upon blood pressure and other aspects of the human vascular system.

After working at The Geelong Hospital and The Alfred Hospital, David completed his advanced physician training in cardiology at Monash Medical Centre and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2007.

He is currently undertaking PhD research studies at The Alfred Hospital and the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute.
