Bio

Anthony Williams has variety of experience in clinical musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, most recently in circus arts and acro-sports while touring with Cirque Du Soleil. 

Anthony Williams has also worked in clinics throughout Queensland and New South Wales gaining a variety of experience with sporting organizations including the ITU Triathlon Medical Support Centre at Noosa, Cairns, Sydney and Port Macquarie, the Australian Freestyle Moguls team, the Australian Ski Cross team, Noosa International Rugby 7s, Brisbane Souths Rugby Union, Noosa AFL team, Surf Lifesaving and Balmain Rugby Union.

This exposure allowed Anthony Williams to development a thorough understanding of pre-operative conditioning, post-op rehabilitation of the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle, returning participants to high-level activity after soft tissue injury, strength and conditioning of shoulder deficiencies related to water sports and recovery from frustratingly debilitating spinal conditions.

Having graduated from Bond University (Qld) in 2006 with a Masters of Sports Science, Anthony went on to complete a masters in physiotherapy in 2008 and masters of sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2016. This opened his association with sporting organisations such as Pan Pacific Masters Games and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Anthony Williams has maintained a personal interest in sports such as, volleyball, basketball, rugby union, touch football, aikido, boxing, mountain biking, life-saving, surfing, skiing and snowboarding. He has also broadened his interest to preparatory strength and recovery in the world of acro-sports and circus arts.

Anthony Williams now has a keen interest in formulating a clear diagnosis, and the management of pathologies of the low back and pelvis complex, the shoulder, the neck and thoracic spine. He is a strong advocate for pre-surgical conditioning and enjoys contributing to the accomplishment of people returning to sport, exercise or daily function from injury. 

Anthony Williams has a specialised skill in the assessment with management of athletes in the performing arts.
