Bio
James Pope joined the Olympic Park Sports Medicine team in 2008. His main interest is working with athletes of all ages with injuries that limit exercise. This can often be a source of much frustration for people wanting to be active and stay fit, James strives to provide a means of doing this whilst also reducing pain.
James works with the Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne Victory and the Victorian Cricket team. He is interested in working closely with other health practitioners to rehabilitate, strengthen and help people to be exercising pain free as soon as possible.

Melbourne Campus Fee Statement
A referral from a general or specialist medical practitioner is not required to see Mr Pope. The cost of an initial consultation with Mr Pope may be up to $125.00 and patients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $53.80. The cost of a standard review consultation (30 mins) may be up to $98.00 and the cost of a long review (45 mins) may be up to $110.00. Patients may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $53.80 for both review types. To receive a Medicare rebate, the patient must have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan) issued by a general or specialist medical practitioner. Private health insurance rebates may be available too, depending on the terms and conditions of the patient’s insurance. Initial consultations are generally booked as 45 minute appointments and review consultations are generally booked as 30 minute appointments unless otherwise specified by Mr Pope or if the patient has not been seen by Mr Pope for a 12 month period. Please note that in addition to the charges already mentioned, additional fees may apply, for example, for Foot Orthotic Therapy and Shockwave Therapy.
