Bio

Through her own sporting career as a professional snowboarder, Rebecca Bryce developed an extensive interest in strength and conditioning, corrective dynamic movement patterning and rehabilitation for return to sport protocols. She previously worked in her private practice as a sports massage therapist working with many elite sports persons including triathletes, runners, AFL footballers and winter sports athletes. She also worked at the Australian Open Tennis as a massage therapist for 10 years. During this time, she chose to further her education in the field of exercise and sports science and completed her Bachelor of exercise science followed by a Graduate Diploma of clinical exercise prescription at the Australian Catholic University. Most recently Rebecca embarked on a Masters of High Performance Sports at ACU as she continually aims to progress her knowledge and skill in assisting her clients in the management and preservation of their physical and musculoskeletal health.

Rebecca specialises in running gait analysis / run technique correction as well as general biomechanical correction for improved movement quality. Her focus is corrective functional exercise prescription, physical fitness and strength / conditioning programming, applied as both preventative medicine strategies and for injury and disease management and rehabilitation.
Rebecca has also has extensive experience in assisting clients with specific health concerns such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue, Type II Diabetes and obesity, exercise induced asthma and osteo-arthritis. Rebecca has over 15 years’ experience working in both private and multidisciplinary practices specialising in musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation.

Melbourne Campus Fee Statement

A referral from a general or specialist medical practitioner is not required to see Ms Bryce. The cost of an initial and review consultation with Ms Bryce may be up to $185 and patients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $54.60. To receive a Medicare rebate, the patient must have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan) issued by a general or specialist medical practitioner. Private health insurance rebates may be available too, depending on the terms and conditions of the patient’s insurance. Initial and review consultations are generally booked as 60 minute appointments unless otherwise specified by Ms Bryce in discussion with the patient. Please note that in addition to the charges already mentioned, additional fees may apply, for example, for an exercise program. Payment of all fees is required on the same day as the appointment. We do not bulk bill due to inadequate Medicare rebates.

The cost of a review consultation with Ms Bryce is $120.00 and patients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $54.60. To receive a Medicare rebate, the patient must have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan) issued by a general or specialist medical practitioner. Private health insurance rebates may be available too, depending on the terms and conditions of the patient’s insurance.
