Bio

*** Please note Brodwen is currently on Maternity Leave – 2024 ***

Brodwen is a Physiotherapist who started her career in the public hospital setting, before finding her niche in Hand Therapy in 2012. Since then, she has gained experience in managing hand, wrist and elbow conditions across both public and private healthcare settings.

As an Accredited Hand Therapist (as awarded by the AHTA) and a Certified Hand Therapist (USA), Brodwen has been recognised for her experience and expertise in the management of upper limb conditions. She is a well-respected clinician and a presenter of professional development courses for both the national Hand Therapy and Physiotherapy associations.

Brodwen has a special interest in tendon conditions and completed her PhD investigating the assessment and management of de Quervain’s disease (a condition affecting the tendons of the thumb). However, her skills extend beyond tendon injuries and include management of fractures, post-operative rehab, and sports injuries.

Committed to delivering patient-focused care, she prioritises educating patients about their condition and empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process. Brodwen enjoys working with all types of people and tailoring treatment plans to each individual’s needs and goals.
